Carol and I are both from Staten Island, where we were able to experience all the benefits of the relatively quiet borough within the magnificent aura of New York City.

I eventually made my way into NY and attended School of Visual Arts, studying Film, Animation, and, of course Illustration! I received a BFA in Illustration with honors in 1994 and went to work immediately in the NY animation scene, as an Animator, Designer, and Storyboard Artists for such great companies as John Dilworth, Magnet, Disney’s Jumbo Studios and Nickelodeon I also enjoyed many other additional experiences with studios such as Ink Tank, Curious Pictures, & Ben Hillman.

During my studio experiences I animated X-men commercials, Cartoon Network and Nick Jr logos, and independent films; I have story-boarded as well as  designed & developed characters and backgrounds for Disney’s Doug, PB&J, and Super Family Values; I have worked on show bibles, new series development, and 2d computer animation. I eventually became a Senior Animator on Nickelodeon’s Blues Clues, and during my years there illustrated 16 books for the successful series!

My book list has since grown greatly with popular characters including Veggie Tales, Holly Hobbie, Tiny Planets, Backyardigans, and John Deere.

I also have designed and illustrated many board and novelty books - several of which I developed with my wife, Carol, which she joyfully writes!

We currently reside in Virginia, experiencing a lifestyle much different than the one we did in New York. I have had my artwork showcased at the Colonial Williamsburg Library Gallery, and have been invited to share my experiences and knowledge with the local schools.
